A woman and her mother told LaGrange police officers a man got out of his car and pointed a gun at them while they were outside a residence in the 300 block of Ware Street about 9 p.m. Thursday.

One of the victims claimed the man was her ex-boyfriend, according to a LaGrange Police Department report. She told officers he pulled up in his car, got out and pointed the gun at them. Then, without a word, he got back inside the car and took off.

LPD Lt. Dale Strickland said officers were able to locate the man’s car at another location, but have not yet found the suspect.

Ten bicycles stolen from home

A couple told police they witnessed at least three juveniles stealing bicycles about 1 a.m. from the back of their home in the 900 block of Greenville Street.

A woman told LPD officers she and her husband were smoking on the front porch of their home when they noticed a juvenile near their neighbor’s home who fled the area on a bike.

Two more juveniles immediately came running out from between the two homes. The couple then discovered the kids were stealing bikes from the rear of their house and placing them in woods behind the home.

According to the report, the couple found three of their bikes in the woods, but said they were missing at least 10 more.

The total value was estimated at $1,000.

Burglary

A woman said she returned home Thursday evening around 6:30 to find someone stole her Barnes and Noble NOOK tablet off the kitchen table.

The victim told LPD officers she also noticed it looked like someone pried open the rear door to enter the Railroad Street home.

The NOOK was valued at $400.
