LaGRANGE — The group Unity in the Community will host a march this weekend to promote peace.

The group, which has organized other marches in the past year in response to violence in the community, asks anyone who wants to participate to gather 2:30 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce plaza on Bull Street. The march kicks off at 3 p.m. and participants will walk down Lafayette Parkway to Calumet Village.

At the destination, LaGrange College has organized speakers to address the crowd, the unity group stated in a news release.

In case of rain, the group will meet at William J. Griggs Recreation Center on Glenn Robertson Drive.
