Man allegedly robbed in motel room

A man told LaGrange police he was robbed of thousands of dollars Monday night about 11 p.m. while inside his room at the Stay Lodge at 1610 Whitesville St.

According to the victim, he heard someone come into his room while he was in the bathroom.

He told police when he came out there were two white males dressed in camouflage inside his room.

The victim said he was thrown onto the bed and held down by one of the males while the other one opened the drawer to the nightstand and took out his wallet. The robber took $6,000, the victim told police.

Both men then ran out of the room.

The case was handed over to the LaGrange police Criminal Investigation Section.
