Forgiveness, what a really big word!

I was thinking of the young lady that was in my pasture a few nights ago. Her comment was that she was running with the wrong crowd so her dad did not have anything to do with her.

Wow, Dad is not the bad guy here. I bet he would love to have his daughter back in his loving arms with a new set of friends.

This is much better and easier said than done. People put Mom and Dad in a no-win situation. When it comes to their kids, they forgive again and again and that person goes back to the drugs or booze one more time.

Lots of times they spend money, they do not have to lose, trying to help only to have that person break their word and do bad things again. As she, Nicole, told the deputies she runs with the wrong crowd. The first thing Nicole, or any other young person, must do is admit they are wrong and decide they are going to make a change.

Mom and Dad want to but they cannot make the change for their kid. Mom and Dad can forgive them one more time and ask the good Lord to help.

Life is not perfect, there are no easy answers, we all must try to help those that need a helping hand and give a kind word and a word of encouragement.
