Today

Events: A beginner scrapbook class is offered at the Active Life Center on Ragland Street at 1 p.m. There is no cost for the class. A registration form and supply list can be picked up at the center.

The LaGrange Memorial Library, 115 Alford St., hosts a free class on genealogy to help attendees learn to use Ancestry.com, find ancestors and build a family tree at 3 p.m. Request a five-generation chart at registration. Registration is required because seating is limited. To register, fill out a form at the circulation desk or call 706-882-7784 ext. 20.

Downtown LaGrange Development Authority Business and Economic Development meets at 2 p.m. at the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce.

West Point City Council meets at 6 p.m. at City Hall.

Legacy Museum on Main, 136 Main St. in LaGrange, hosts the exhibit Lifting More Voices: Early Troup County Black History through Sept. 16.
