People believe that Troup County is growing! People are always coming up to me asking  if “that” is really going to happen here.

Some people are talking about the water park, while others are talking about the businesses that we hear are coming, but just haven’t seen evidence of yet.

I find it amusing when someone says to me can you believe this or that is happening. I love it! We are growing and the citizens of Troup County and surrounding areas getting excited.

Yes, even a place selling frozen fruit and milk based treats on a stick is new jobs and new ideas for our area. Our Chamber has done a great job getting new jobs coming to our area. Scott Malone  and his team are doing a wonderful job with big companies coming bringing high paying jobs.

Builders are building new homes again and that is a major ripple where hundreds of people get  paid from each month. With new homes, even the tax man has more homes to collect taxes on  so many good things happen. Last night on Facebook someone had a picture of the new hotel downtown.  I had buyers looking at houses on Monday and we rode for them to see all the work going on at the water park.

They  were so excited to see their hometown growing.

They have been gone 25 years and are moving back. Yes, people are excited, happy and proud that good things are going on in Troup County.

A big thank you goes to the Callaway Foundation. They never stop helping this area be the  special place it is to live and work. Just look around, they have helped everywhere
