The LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Troup County Republican Party and the Troup County Democratic Party, announces a series of Candidate Forums to take place in advance of the November 7 election day.

Events are scheduled for October 3 in Hogansville, October 12 in LaGrange and October 16 in West Point. Each forum will offer candidates for Mayor and contested City Council seats in the respective cities to answer questions from an independent moderator.

“The Chamber is proud to provide an opportunity for voters to hear directly from the candidates on the issues that are facing each city,” said John Asbell, 2017 Chamber Board Chair. “I encourage everyone to attend the forum for their community and to then vote for their candidate of choice.”

Voters will also have an opportunity to learn about the projects included in the SPLOST V ballot initiative. Representatives from Troup Tomorrow will provide an overview of the projects for the county and each municipality, and answer questions about the campaign.
