The LaGrange Fire Department extinguished a burning pickup truck at McLane LaGrange on Tuesday morning. No injuries were reported.

The fire occurred in the parking lot of McLane on Redding Drive. The vehicle was a Ford truck being used by Wash-MD, a cleaning company, which was cleaning the sides of McLane tractor-trailers, according to LFD Deputy Chief Phillip Rice.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known. Workers noticed the truck was on fire and called LFD, who, after arrival, extinguished the flames within about five minutes, Rice said. Workers said the fire seemed to start in the passenger compartment.

The cab of the truck was burnt out and the doors, roof and hood were severely burned. A tank containing cleaning fluid on the back of the truck was partially melted.

The sidewall of an adjacent tractor-trailer was also damaged and had holes burned through it.
