During October, scarecrows will be appearing on the streets of downtown LaGrange. The Downtown LaGrange Development Authority has announced its fourth annual scarecrow contest.
Local businesses, organizations and individuals are invited to join in on the fun and are encouraged to create scarecrows to display around the downtown area that offer a reflection of the season, their business or organization.
The scarecrows will be displayed from October 5 through November 2. Each Scarecrow will be photographed and featured on Downtown LaGrange’s Facebook page, where the community can cast a vote for their favorite characters.
The community is invited to select the entry that they consider to be the Best Historic Character, the Most Original and the Best Representation of a Business or Organization. The contest winners will be announced on Saturday, October 26 at the Chili Cook Off & Downtown Trick or Treat event.
