The Callaway Lady Cavaliers put the wraps on their Region 4-AAA schedule with an 8-0 loss to home-standing Rockmart on Tuesday.

Callaway closed the regular season with a 5-5 region record, and it finished third in its sub-region behind Central-Carroll (10-0) and Rockmart (8-2).

Haralson County (3-7) finished last in the sub-region.

Chapel Hill finished first in the other sub-region, and it is the only one of the four teams with a winning record in region play.

Callaway will be the number four seed in the region tournament, and it will need to finish among the top four teams to make it to the state playoffs.

Callaway will wrap up its regular season today with a home game against Hardaway, and it will be the team’s senior day.

The Lady Cavaliers are hoping to end a four-game losing streak that has dropped them to 11-14.
