The Callaway Cavaliers had it all working.

The offense was dynamic as usual, and the defense also delivered a dominant effort with four interceptions.

When the dust cleared Friday night at Chapel Hill, Callaway had a 45-13 victory as it continued its quest for a second straight region championship.

Callaway (4-1 overall) improved to 2-0 in Region 4-AAA, and Chapel Hill (1-4) fell to 0-2 in the region.

Callaway quarterback Tez Parks threw a pair of touchdown passes, including an 80-yard scoring play in the second quarter.

Parks, Eddie Culpepper, Devon Rosser and Cedric Maynard each had touchdown runs.

On the defensive end, Michael Moss had a pair of interceptions, and Godwin and Dre Martin also had interceptions.

“We had a great week of practice leading up to it, and it paid off for us tonight,” Callaway head coach Pete Wiggins said.
