It’s almost time to move those plants on the front porch inside and break out the sweaters. Much cooler weather is on the way.
Colder and drier air is forecast for Georgia for the rest of the week, and a cold front Friday will drop temperatures lower than the already below-average readings.
For West Georgia, the outlook is for highs in the low to mid-60s Wednesday through Saturday. The mercury should drop to around 40 Wednesday and Thursday nights, then fall to near 30 Friday night.
Temperatures then begin a slight warming trend with highs from 63 Saturday to 72 Monday. Lows are expected to range from 36 Saturday night to 50 Monday night.
Skies should be clear to partly cloudy all week with no rain in the forecast.
Normal extremes for this time of year in LaGrange are 74 and 46.
