The first pieces of dirt were dug up as DASH for LaGrange, Inc. hosted the groundbreaking for their latest project in Hogansville Wednesday.
The project is a new apartment complex called Stony Ridge Apartments, which will provide 55 additional quality housing units, located on Lincoln Street right across from the Hogansville Police Department.
“It is our commitment to you that we will not let you down,” said Ricky Wolfe, chairman of the Troup County Board of Commissioners.
“The people who will live here will be proud to call it home.”
DASH, which stands for dependable, affordable, sustainable housing, began in 2003. This will be its fifth low income housing tax credit project in Troup County. DASH has also developed 192 other quality rental units in LaGrange since 2009. This will be the first project DASH has begun outside of the LaGrange area.
“The city of Hogansville is very excited,” Hogansville City Manager James Woods said.
“We’ve been working on economic development with our partners across the county line. It just helps our efforts towards the revitalization of Hogansville.”
