The Callaway Lady Cavaliers will have to wait a few extra days before playing their Region 4-AAA tournament opener.

The schedule for the region tournament has been adjusted because of the expected winter storm, so instead of playing on Wednesday, Callaway will now play on Friday.

The Callaway Cavaliers, meanwhile, were supposed to play their first tournament game on Friday, but that game has been pushed back to Saturday.

All of the tournament games are being played in Haralson County.

The Lady Cavaliers, the tournament’s number three seed, will play either Rockmart or Haralson County on Friday at 4 p.m.

The winner of that game will advance to the semifinals on Saturday.

All of the semifinal games on the boys’ and girls’ sides will be Saturday, with the championship games set for Monday.

The Region 5-AAAA tournament schedule has also been altered.

The LaGrange Grangers, who beat Columbus in a first-round game on Monday, will play their second-round game today, instead of on Wednesday as originally scheduled.

LaGrange will play Carrollton at 6 p.m. at Sandy Creek High School, with the winner advancing to the semifinals on Friday at Alexander High School.

If LaGrange wins today, it would play Alexander at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Since many of the region tournaments across the area are being delayed, the Georgia High School Association has decided to push the start of the state tournament back one day.

The first-round girls’ games will be played on Feb. 19, and the first-round boys’ games will be Feb. 2o.

The schedule has also been changed for the local wrestlers who will be competing in the state finals in Gwinnett County.

The state finals were originally set to begin on Thursday and run through Saturday, but instead all of the matches will be held on Friday and Saturday.

Callaway, LaGrange and Troup each have wrestlers involved in the state finals.

On the college level, the LaGrange College baseball team was supposed to open its season today at home against Oglethorpe, but that game has been postponed.
