The LaGrange Lady Grangers are on a winning streak.

After opening the season with a loss to East Coweta on Friday, the Lady Grangers got on the board with a win over McEachern on Tuesday, and they followed that up with a 3-0 victory over Callaway on Wednesday.

Callaway led 2-0 at the half, and it added another goal in the second half to secure the shutout win.

Reagan Peters had a pair of goals for LaGrange, and Lauren Robinson and Alaina Tomlinson each had one goal.

LaGrange has had to replace nine seniors from last year’s team, including seven starters.

“We were able to try some people at some different positions,” LaGrange coach Rusty Cook said. “We’re still trying to work everything out with it being the beginning of the season, and get everybody the experience of playing together that they haven’t had.”

Callaway head coach Matt Leonard said it took his team awhile to start standing toe-to-toe with LaGrange.

“They were giving it all for the most part, it just took us awhile to get up to the next level,” Leonard said. “LaGrange had played East Coweta, and they had played McEachern. They were used to playing at a higher level than we were, and I think it took us awhile to adjust to that.”

Leonard added that he was “proud of the girls. I think most of them left it on the field.”
