Police are investigating the death of a 48-year-old man who was pronounced dead at West Georgia Medical Center on Monday.
According to a report, family found the man unresponsive and not breathing. An autopsy has been scheduled at the GBI crime lab and police were investigating the incident.
A man reported to police that he lent someone $800 worth of tree and pole climbing equipment six months ago, but recently saw it on sale at a local pawn shop. He confirmed it was his by his last name stamped on the equipment.
Police responded to Food Depot on Hogansville Road where the manager reported that a woman stole two packs of hamburger meat valued at $12.
A man reported that is brother’s Toyota Avalon was stolen from his residence. The vehicle later was found abandoned at the dead end of Moores Hill in a ditch.
A woman reported that her daughter’s cell phone, valued at $500, was stolen while she was at LaGrange High School.
A woman reported that her camera, valued at $200, was stolen from her house .
A man reported that after dropping his cell phone, someone picked it up and drove off with it.
While on patrol, police noticed a garage door with profanity written on it in the 300 block of Northwoods Drive. Damage was estimated at less than $500.
A woman reported that while driving north on Whitesville Road, a group of juveniles threw rocks at her window. Damage to her window was estimated at less than $500.
A woman in the 1600 block of Whitesville Road reported that a vandal slashed the passenger-side tires of her Jeep Cherokee.
Kedlynn Harris, 26, whose address was unavailable, was arrested on an warrant for failure to appear at the Troup County Superior Court on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and obstruction.
