Man sought on assault, false imprisonment charges

LaGrange police still are seeking Anthony Render, 40 or 41 years old, of LaGrange on charges of aggravated assault and false imprisonment for allegedly hitting and holding his wife at knife point Saturday.

According to police, an altercation between Render and his wife became physical. She called 911 and Render allegedly struck her in the head with his fist and restrained her with a knife to her throat. Potts was not allowed to leave the residence and couldn’t answer the door when police responded, according to reports.

The victim later came to LPD to report the incident and officers were unable to locate Render.

Render currently has warrants out for his arrest. Anyone with information on his location was asked to call 911 or CrimeStoppers at 706-812-1000.
