Bel Canto LaGrange, the only all women’s choral ensemble in the West Georgia/East Alabama region, is preparing to perform in a most unique concert setting.

Their second wine tasting concert will offer audience members a wonderful experience of “Wine, Women and Song!”

The upcoming April 12 concert will feature a variety of musical selections from classical to Broadway including soloists April McArdle, Hyebin Kim and Stacey Ernstberger.

The wine-tasting concert was designed to offer the experience of combining choral music and food tastings that would be paired with uniquely selected wines.

The concert was conceived by artistic director Bettie Biggs, whose research discovered a choral concert/wine tasting in the Napa Valley area. The concert location was the wine cellar of the particular vineyard.

“This has been an exceptionally well received venue in the past and due to its popularity, the decision was made to present a second concert based on this particular concept,” Biggs said. “The pairings for this concert are exceptionally well done by the club staff. It should be a wonderful way to enjoy a spring afternoon with friends.”

Highland Country Club manager Michael Bunting will be the wine commentator and Corey Wybel is the Highland Country Club executive chef.

Cost is $30, which includes full concert with both food and wine tastings. A coffee/ice tea bar will also be available.
