Coming off their first region loss of the season, the Callaway Cavaliers will look to get back on track when they host B.E.S.T. Academy today in a doubleheader at 5:30 p.m.

The Cavaliers won their first four Region 4-AAA games, but they lost to Central-Carroll 2-0 on March 26.

Callaway was supposed to play on Friday at Jackson, but that game was rained out.

Callaway also had a game scheduled on Monday against Douglass, but that game wasn’t played.

Douglass has forfeited the remainder of its games this season, so Callaway was awarded a win on Monday.

The Cavaliers (10-3 overall) will carry a 5-1 region record into today’s games.

Callaway had an earlier game at B.E.S.T. rained out, and the teams will play both of their regular-season games today.

If the Cavaliers win both of today’s games, they’ll be in first place heading into Friday’s showdown at Chapel Hill.

On March 19, Callaway beat Chapel Hill 3-2 in eight innings.

Chapel Hill and Central-Carroll both have two losses in the region.
