The game time is set for the Callaway Cavaliers’ second-round showdown with Appling County.
Callaway, which beat Central-Macon in the first round of the playoffs, will host Appling County in a second-round series that gets under way on Wednesday.
The two teams will play a doubleheader, with the first game set to begin at 4 p.m.
The second game will begin 30 minutes after the first game wraps up.
If the teams split the doubleheader, a third and deciding game would be played on Thursday.
Appling County (20-9 overall) earned its spot in the state tournament by finishing second in Region 1-AAA with a 14-4 record.
Callaway (22-5) won the Region 4-AAA championship to earn home field advantage in the playoffs.
While both teams won their state openers, they did it in different manners.
Callaway had no trouble with Central-Macon, sweeping the series with 10-0 and 12-0 victories.
Appling County, meanwhile, had to go the full three games to beat Dodge County.
Appling County won the first game 8-0, but Dodge County bounced back to win the second game 4-3.
Appling County then clinched the series with a 3-2 win on Saturday.
If Callaway beats Appling County, it would face either Cartersville or Woodward Academy in the third round on May 13.
Callaway would host Woodward, but it would have to travel to Cartersville.
The semifinals begin May 19, and the state-championship series is set for May 24.
