LaGrange police investigate strong-arm robbery

LaGrange Police responded to a robbery on Tuesday evening in the 400 block of Miller Street.

According to the report, the victim said she was placing her infant into a stroller to go to the store when she was approached by Darrell Colton, a man she knows as “De-Bo.”

The victim said Colton asked her for a cigarette and when she turned around, he pushed her to the ground and took $20 dollars from her hand. He then fled the scene.

Police are still investigating.


The Troup County Sheriffs Office is investigating a burglary at a new home off Lindsay Taylor Drive.

According to the report, the thieves stole 23 door knob sets and stoppers, three attic doors, and weatherstripping for doors.


LaGrange Police are looking for the thieves that stole an aluminum boat dock from behind a residence in the 100 block of Windridge Drive.

Officers said they found two large holes and broken concrete where the dock cables were connected.

The victim stated the theft occurred between last Friday and Tuesday.

Police are investigating.

LaGrange Police are also looking for two women who robbed a man at the Darden Ministries off Horace King Street.

Officers say the victim told them the women came in looking to rent a room. That’s when the victim left the room to go get some paper work. According to the report, when the victim came back the women were gone and so was his wallet.
