Employees of West Point Road’s Hog Heaven participated in the Ice Bucket Challenge Friday morning to raise money for Emmaus Women’s Shelter. Store owner Terri Brooke challenged the Hog Heaven on Lafayette Parkway to participate in the challenge to see which store can raise the most money shelter. The Ice Bucket Challenge has become a nation-wide sensation where donating participants have someone dump ice water on their heads and then challenge others to do the same to raise money for a charity.
Hog Heaven employees were dumped in ice water for the Ice Bucket Challenge and will donate to LaGrange’s Emmaus Women’s Shelter, a shelter that provides shelter, restoration and integration to homeless women and their families.
