Tamlin Hall is pacing back and forth in front of a room full of art students at LaGrange High School. He speaks excitedly, and off the cuff about the friendliest person he knew when he was a student at LHS about two decades ago.His name was Holden Layfield. Layfield even was voted friendliest student in his senior year. Two years later, he shot himself.During his last two years of school, Layfield had started using drugs, from marijuana and LSD to eventually heroin. He was self-medicating his undiagnosed schizophrenia, Hall said.
