Timothy Barnes, 33, and Kayla Miller, 19, both of LaGrange were arrested on Methamphetamine charges Sunday at the Red Roof Inn on Lafayette Parkway.

Police responded to the Red Roof Inn on an anonymous tip that a male and female were seen through an open window smoking an illegal substance.

According to the report, police approached the room and were let in by Barnes. While inside, police found several butane torches with additional butane filler tanks in plain sight.

Police also found a several small bags of a substantial amount of methamphetamine and a set of digital scales.

When police searched Miller, they found more containers of methamphetamine on her.

According to the report, Barnes had an active parole violation from an original charge of Methamphetamine possession and burglary.

Barnes and Miller were booked into the Troup County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
