Battery/Assault


A teenage girl reported her mother became intoxicated and choked her.


A man from the 400 block of McCall Street reported his ex-girlfriend jumped on him and started punching, biting and scratching him over a pair of shoes. The ex-girlfriend reported he punched her in the face and began beating her. No arrests were made.


Deputies responded to the 3500 block of Robert Hayes Road where two intoxicated men were involved in a physical altercation. During the altercation, a shot was reportedly fired, though no gun was found and neither man claimed a gunshot fire.


A man reported while working on a job site in the 4800 block of New Franklin Road, an employee grabbed a metal pole and charged at him over money issues. After the owner pointed a pellet gun at him, the employee dropped the pole and left the scene.


Theft/Burglary


A woman from the 100 block of West Bacon Street reported after a party at her apartment, her $4,000 Saturn Ion was stolen. She noticed the car key was missing from her key ring which was inside her apartment with her. She also reported $13 missing from her boyfriend’s wallet.


Deputies responded to the 2100 block of West Point Road where a woman reported she let her sister borrow her car a year ago and the sister reported she let a friend borrow it and it was stolen.


A man from the 3600 block of West Point Road reported that he was looking after a friend’s property while he was away and noticed his $1800 lawn mower was missing.


A man from the 100 block of John Lovelace road reported his door had been kicked in and a 50 gallon jug of change with $200-300 in it, a jewelry box, a box of bullets and a blanket were stolen.


A man from the 400 block of Cooley Road reported his 9mm handgun, valued at $600 and .38 caliber revolver valued at $3,500 stolen.


A man reported while at the LaGrange College Natatorium, his $200 cellphone and $400 cash was stolen from a locker.


A man reported that in the 800 block of New Hutchinson Mill Road, he saw two males suspiciously loading a weight set into their truck. When he confronted them, they left the scene. The weight set is valued at $400.


A woman from the 200 block of Fair Street reported approximately $200 missing from her car.


A woman from the 1300 block of Polk Street reported a Nintendo Wii, valued at $150, was stolen from her home.


A woman from the 900 block of Mooty Bridge Road reported her son’s class ring valued at $200 was stolen from her jewelry box.


A man from the 100 block of Waugh Road reported his $625 cellphone stolen from his bed while he was sleeping.


A man from the 2100 block of Greenville Street reported someone stole his Bully Pit dog who was tied up to a pole. They also stole dog food and a water dish from his porch.


A man from the first block of Ash Drive reported someone entered into his home and stole several tools of an unknown value.


A woman from the 900 block of Greenville Street reported two bicycles stolen from her front porch. Each were valued at $50.


Arrest


Steven Walker, 32, was arrested Sunday at Walmart on New Franklin Road on theft charges for allegedly stealing a cooler valued at $50.
