One man was beaten unconscious by another man in the 500 block of South Greenwood Street.
According to the LaGrange Police Department, the wife of the man who was hit found him laying unconscious outside on the ground.
Police say several eyewitnesses told them a man got out of a silver vehicle and approached the victim. That’s when the suspect allegedly punched the man in the face and left the scene.
The victim was taken to West Georgia Health for medical treatment.
The victim told police he does know the man who attacked him, and that the suspect was there to collect money owed to him.
Detectives were investigating.
A number of guns and other items were taken from a home off Teaver Court.
According to the Troup County Sheriffs Office, deputies responded to a call after someone noticed the front door was open.
Investigators said thieves stole six guns of various makes and models, some jewelry and two TVs.
LaGrange police responded to a call of numerous car break-ins at a towing and wrecking service off Peters Street.
Officers said suspects broke into five cars of various makes and models, a wrecker, a Gulf Stream camper, plus a metal storage building full of personal belongings. Investigators said an unknown amount of money was also taken out of the camper.
Investigators with the LaGrange Police Department are looking for a suspect who may have been trying to break in to Southside Wings and Things in the 800 block of Whitesville Road.
According to police, around 1:45 Tuesday morning, they got a call advising that a male dressed in dark clothes and wearing a mask broke the window to the restaurant, went inside, came out and ran down Cedar Street.
Police said the key holder arrived on scene, but said nothing had been taken out of the store.
