Deputies responded to the 100 block of Roy Stallings Road in reference to a burglary where several items were reported stolen including several saws, an air compressor and a .22 caliber gun. The values of the items were not listed.
A woman from the 100 block of Wynnwood Drive reported an unknown person broke into her home through the back door of her apartment and stole a black Element 32 inch LED television valued at $200.
The owner of Teinta Latina located in the 100 block of Commerce Avenue reported a man tried to cash a forged Metro City Bank Check in the amount of $2,000. The check was returned and determined to be stolen from the owner’s office at the Luverne Korean Restaurant.
A man from the 500 block of Jenkins Street reported someone damaged his fence with a vehicle causing about $500 worth of damage.
A man from the 100 block of Old Airport Road reported his vehicle was keyed.
James Mayfield, 43, of LaGrange was arrested around midnight on Tuesday in the 100 block of White Oak Drive on charges of criminal trespassing, criminal damage to property and simple assault. Mayfield allegedly broke through his girlfriend’s house window with a pool stick when she wouldn’t let him in, threaten to beat her and damaged a Harley Davidson Superglide belonging to a man at the residence.
