Deputies responded to Waldroup Road on Wednesday where a body was found several feet from the roadway by a passerby. Sheriff's officials said no foul play is suspected. According to officials, the victim had a history of heart problems and they believed he may have died of natural causes while walking down the street. Woman allegedly held at knife point Updated 10:55 a.m. A LaGrange man is sought on assault and false imprisonment charges after a woman said he hit her and held her at knife point to keep her from answering the door for police officers. Police responded to the 1400 block of Park Avenue in reference to a 911 call. When they arrived, they were unable to make contact with the 911 caller. Later, police met with the woman at another location who reported that she and her husband, identified as Anthony Render, were in a dispute that led to him allegedly striking her several times and restraining her from leaving the residence or answering the door for police by holding a knife to her throat. Officers attempted to locate Render, whose age was unavailable, but were unable to. He is wanted on charges of false imprisonment and aggravated assault. Assault Police responded to West Georgia Medical Center where a woman reported that a woman bit her in the left thigh, causing a wound, and threw Clorox at her. Thefts, burglaries A thief trespassed onto Cammon Steel Company at 56 New Hutchinson Mill Road and stole a Ford pickup truck with about $9,000 worth of tools and car body equipment, and caused over $500 worth of damage to the gate. Deputies responded to the 300 block of Hudson Road where the home owners reported that someone burglarized their home. Several firearms, a laptop, an Xbox 360 and a wedding band set were stolen. The estimated value of items stolen was not reported. Police responded to Walmart of New Franklin Road where two females allegedly stole $330.76 worth of clothing, jewelry, lotion and other assorted items. In a separate incident at the store, a man reported that someone stole his car valued at $4,000 after he accidentally left the keys inside. It was later recovered at The Dollar General on Commerce Avenue. A woman in the 200 block of Chips Way reported that her iPhone 5 was stolen from her boyfriend's vehicle . A woman in the 600 block of Snelson Street reported that someone broke into her 2004 Ford Taurus and stole $100. Trespassing, damage A woman in the 600 block of Elm Street reported that someone keyed both sides of her vehicle and scratched profanities on the side. The estimated damage was more than $500. A man reported that someone shattered the back windshield of his vehicle at the intersection of Mitchell and Ridley avenues. Damage was estimated at less than $500. Police responded to LaGrange Motors in the 500 block of New Franklin Road where the owner reported damage to a window of the business. The total damage was estimated to be $150. A man in the 100 block of Keys Street reported that after an argument, his ex-girlfriend allegedly broke out two window panes to his bedroom. Damage was estimated at $100. A woman in the 900 block of Kelly Street reported that someone threw a large brick-like object through a bedroom window. The estimated damage was $100. A woman in the 1000 block of Troup Street reported that someone disassembled her patio furniture. Arrest Mario Fannin, 38, of LaGrange was arrested on a contempt of court warrant through the State of Georgia Superior Court.
