Police responded to the 1300 block of Juniper Street where a homeowner reported that while collecting rent from a tenant, she noticed the back door had been forced open. When the tenant arrived home, she discovered her Sharp 60 inch flat screen television valued at $2,500 and a Wii system valued at $100, stolen. The victim reported she suspects her ex-boyfriend.

A family from the 100 block of Youngs Mill Road reported that after coming home from vacation, they discovered their backdoor forced open. Items stolen included, a 42 inch flat screen television valued at $190, another 42 inch flat screen television valued at $300, and two Wii systems valued at $150 each.

Police responded to Twin Fountain Nursing Home in the 1400 block of Hogansville Road where a woman reported she accidentally left her purse in the breezeway and upon returning to get it, she discovered it was stolen. Inside the purse were a Sig Sauer .45 caliber pistol valued at $800, a .22 caliber pistol valued at $200, $40 cash, and identification cards. The purse was valued at $100.

A man from the 300 block of Morgan Street reported he bought a car off eBay for $2,248 that he never received. He later found out that the eBay page he bought it off was fake.

Police responded to the 800 block of Whitesville Street where a man reported while walking, another man came up from behind him and snatched his wallet from his hand and ran into the Benjamin Hill Housing Authority. The victim reported the wallet contained $500 in cash and identification cards.

A woman from the first block of Spring Street reported that after having two guests at her house, she noticed her 55 inch flat screen television valued at $600, a Wii gaming system and five games valued at $300, and a Nokia cell phone valued at $50 were missing.

Deputies responded to a report at the LaGrange Police Department where a man reported an unknown person used his identity to open a T-Mobile account and charged $1,011.40 to it.

A woman from the 1600 block of Whitesville Road reported that her debit card was stolen and $354.61 was spent at Wal Mart on New Franklin Road.

Police responded to LaGrange Toyota in the 1200 block of Lafayette Parkway where a woman reported her car parked in the parking lot was entered and a radio valued at $150 was stolen.

A man reported that after returning home from church, his home in the 1000 block of Mason Street was broken into. His bedroom was ransacked and window broken. $30 was missing from his church collection.

A man from the West Point Road and Old West Point Road area reported his utility trailer, unknown value, stolen from his yard.

A man from the 400 block of East Bacon Street reported his wheelchair, valued at $100, stolen from his front porch.


A woman from the 500 block of Revis Street reported she was sitting on her porch with her children, when a neighbor came over and began hitting her. She also reported that friends of the neighbor recorded the fight and posted it on Facebook and Instagram.

A woman from the 100 block of Dix Street reported that after an argument, her friend struck her in the back of the head with a small tire tool.

Criminal Trespassing

Police responded to the 200 block of Handley Street where an intoxicated man was holding a knife in each hand and allegedly threatened his girlfriend and her father saying “come get you some of this.” Police reported that the subject also had multiple bite marks on his back. No arrests were made.

Police responded to the 1200 block of Lindsey Street where a woman reported that another woman damaged her windshield and stabbed the hood of her vehicle multiple times with a knife.


Christopher McElwaney, 34, of LaGrange was arrested on theft charges for allegedly stealing a $65 vapor smoking device from Millenium Vapors in the 400 block of New Franklin Road.

Richard Caldwell, 31, of LaGrange was arrested in the 200 block of Tuggle Street on charges of possession of methamphetamines. Caldwell allegedly had a methamphetamine pipe concealed in his hoodie and police also confiscated two knives from his pocket.
