LaGrange police officers reported to the LaGrange Mall on Saturday for a report of a stolen car.

The victim said he parked his 1986 Monte Carlo SS in a spot near the main entrance. When he came out a short time later, the car was gone.

A Troup County deputy who was working part time at the mall, saw the car speed off towards Lafayette Parkway. The vehicle – which is silver in color with maroon, purple and orange stripes – was spotted again on Lafayette Parkway and also on the northbound ramp to Interstate 85.

Anyone with information about the theft or who has seen the car was asked to call the LaGrange Police Department.

Burglary

Troup County sheriff’s deputies responded to a burglary at a residence on Georgia Highway 18.

According to the victim, this is the third time her house has been broken into this past year. This time she said the thieves stole a slate pool table valued at $12,000.
