An employee with the City of LaGrange Telecommunications Department discovered one of their surveillance cameras missing from a building in Calumet Park off Union Street, according to LaGrange police.
Officers investigated further by reviewing footage taken from that camera at City Hall. They noticed three black male juveniles surveying the area and carrying a red tool box. The youths gained entry into the building and quickly disabled the surveillance system.
The city employee estimates the camera is worth around $650 dollars.
Police are still investigating.
