Jabreka Reed of LaGrange, was arrested in the 400 block of Greenwood Street Friday night after she allegedly cut a male victim in the neck with a razor blade causing several large lacerations, because he wouldn’t go home with her. She was transported to the Troup County Jail and is facing one count of aggravated assault.
Police arrested Joseph Wesley Whatley at CVS in the 300 block of Morgan Street Sunday night after a unwanted person call. Police found Whatley sitting on the side of the building and discovered he had an active probation violation through the Troup County Superior Court. While arresting him, police also allegedly found a glass pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine with traces of meth in his pocket. Whately was transported to the Troup County Jail on possession of methamphetamine charges

A man from the 200 block of East Crovat Street reported Friday that someone entered into his home and went through drawers, flipped the bed, pulled multiple items out of the closet. The only thing missing was a 32 inch Toshiba flat screen television valued at $300.

A woman from the 200 block of Gorham Street reported Friday night that someone stole her Coby 32 inch LED television and remote valued at $260 from her bedroom.

A woman from the area of Brownwood Street and Troup Street reported Saturday night a 10-year-old boy came into her yard trying to steal her seven year old son’s skateboard. When her son went out there, the boy allegedly pulled out a razor blade and threatened to cut him if he came any closer. He then took the skateboard and fled.
Police responded to the 1500 block of Vernon Road where a male reported he was walking south on Harwell Avenue when four white males started following him. As he was walking he was shot with a BB gun in the back of the head, when he turned around he was shot multiple times in the face with the BB gun.
