WACO — Tickets for this year’s West Georgia Technical College Black Tie & Boots concert Saturday at the Murphy Campus featuring Wynonna & the Big Noise have almost sold out.
“The buzz about this year’s concert has been incredible,” said West Georgia Technical College President Steve G. Daniel. “Black Tie & Boots is highly anticipated every year and we are proud to contribute to the fabric of our community.”
Legendary country singer Wynonna & the Big Noise will grace the stage at the Murphy Campus Conference Center in Waco. This year’s concert marks the 13th anniversary of Black Tie & Boots at West Georgia Technical College.
Wynonna Judd is known for being one half of the legendary duo The Judds with her mother, Naomi Judd. Her solo career led to a quintuple platinum album, four number one hits, the coveted Top Female Vocalist of the Year trophy at the ACM Awards, and being named “the greatest female country singer since Patsy Cline” by Rolling Stone magazine.
Past country artists who have performed at the annual concert include Blake Shelton, Gary Allan, Little Big Town and last year’s performer, Montgomery Gentry.
Despite the celebrity entertainment, Black Tie & Boots is known for its community impact. The event is sponsored by the WGTC Foundation and all proceeds go toward student scholarships.
Tickets are $125 per person or $950 per table of eight. The ticket price includes a seated meal and concert. Attendees are treated to valet parking, a professional photographer, and a walk on the red carpet. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the concert beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Kevin Cain at email@example.com or at 678-664-0516.
