The Troup County Sheriffs Office needs your help to track down some wanted men in an alleged gun theft scheme.
According to investigators, 20-year-old Michael Dylan Cotton and 19-year-old Robert Taylor Mock were part of a group that allegedly stole two assault rifles from a Troup County home during a party. The sheriffs office said the two men, along with three others, devised a plan to steal the weapons, then sold them for U.S. currency and illegal drugs.
Investigators believe Cotton and Mock may still be in Troup County.
The other three suspects 21-year-old Malcolm Dowell, 21-year-old Giles McNeace, and 18-year-old John Abbott, all of LaGrange, were arrested for their part in the crime and charged with felony theft of firearms.
Sheriff’s investigators say none of the weapons have been recovered.
