LaGrange police are currently investigating an incident where a woman was allegedly held hostage Friday against her will by her boyfriend.
According to police reports, at 12:21 p.m. LaGrange police responded to a call regarding a domestic dispute on Mooty Bridge Road.
Officers contacted a female victim, who was bleeding from her face and nose, who had appeared to have been attacked.
The victim told police that she had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend, Bryan Lamont Miles, and asked him to leave. She then claimed that Miles went into an outrage and threatened to kill her, the report said.
According to the report, the victim then ran into her bedroom with a knife, fearing for her safety. Miles allegedly went after her with a steak knife that he grabbed from the kitchen, forcing her into the bathroom and putting the knife to her throat. The victim eventually escaped and tried to call 911, but Miles snatched the phone from her and kept it until he left later.
Miles allegedly continued to strike her repeatedly in the face several times, causing serious injury to her forehead and nose.
Miles eventually allowed the victim outside and to a neighbor’s apartment, where she called 911.
Warrants have been issued for Miles for aggravated assault with a knife, family violence act, interference with a call for emergency service, armed robbery and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
This incident is currently under investigation.
