Deputies arrested Benjamin Steed, 34, of Manchester on Friday and is facing at least five counts of burglary in the second degree.
Deputies responded to Diverse Power in the 1400 block of South Davis Road Friday around 2 a.m. in regards to a theft. Upon arrival, Steed was located close to the property and matched the description given by the witness to the theft.
Investigators were able to link Steed and other suspects to numerous thefts and burglaries at locations that contained different types of metal, the report said.
According to the report, the group would allegedly take the stolen items to various recycling centers and redeem them for cash.
He is currently being held in the Troup County Jail without bond.
The case is still under investigation.
