Troup County sheriff’s deputies arrested a wanted man and allegedly found drugsdrugs during a traffic stop in Hogansville on Tuesday.
According to the Troup County Sheriff Office, deputies pulled over Chance Lewis Gaddy on Sims Road at the intersection of East Main Street. Investigators say Gaddy had eight warrants for his arrest on various drug charges.
Deputies say during the stop, Gaddy gave consent to let them search the vehicle. A female passenger also allowed deputies to search items that belonged to her inside the car.
According to the report, deputies immediately spotted a clear, plastic sandwich bag that contained 7 grams of suspected methamphetamine. They also allegedly found a set of digital scales, numerous new sandwich bags, and a clear glass smoking device containing methamphetamine residue.
Deputies arrested Gaddy. In addition to the eight warrants he was wanted for, Gaddy is also being charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug related objects, and possession of tools used during the commission of a crime.
