About 8 a.m. today, the driver of a black Kia Amanti, traveling north on Greenwood Street, failed to stop at the stop light at Vernon Street, causing it to crash into a westbound sedan, according to LaGrange police officer Ley Wynne. The two drivers were transported to West Georgia Medical to be checked with no major injuries were reported, Wynne said. The wreck closed Greenwood Street between Vernon and Broad streets for about 30 minutes.
