A 17-year-old of LaGrange was arrested Tuesday around 11:40 a.m. in the area of Newnan Street and Thornton Street for his involvement in a robbery that occurred earlier in the week.
In earlier reports, a man stated that on Monday around 11 a.m., two teens asked for a ride to Pawn Express to sell video games in the 400 block of Hines Street.
After driving them to Pawn Express, the suspects asked for a ride to the area near Food Depot in the 900 block of Hogansville Road. During this time, one of the suspects allegedly snatched the victims cellphone and ran off with it according to reports.
A juvenile, arrested Tuesday, allegedly reached into the victim's right cargo pocket where he grabbed his wallet. He then allegedly reached into the ignition, stealing the keys and fleeing on foot.
At the time of the arrest, reports state the teen was searched and found to be in possession of marijuana less than an ounce. He is also facing charges of participation in criminal street gang.
