A group gathered outside First United Methodist Church watches children in the church’s Live Nativity on Trinity Street Wednesday night. The event kicked off the Nativity Festival at the church. The festival runs from 2 to 7 p.m. through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Advent Lutheran Church, 1416 Vernon Road; First United Methodist Church, 401 Broad St.; Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church, 207 N. Greenwood St.; and Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, 200 Lafayette Parkway.
