The annual Troup County Master Gardener Plant Sale and Plant Swap will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Agriculture Building on 21 Vulcan Materials Road.
Items for sale will include perennials for sun and shade, vegetable plants, native plants and shrubs, house plants, ground covers, spring annuals, speciality planters and decorative garden accessories, along with homemade jams, jellies and pastry items.
The sale offers an opportunity to purchase locally grown plants, grown by local gardeners. Attendees also may seek answers to difficult gardening questions, or bring plants to swap in the swap exchange area – no money is needed.
Proceeds from the sale fund local Master Gardener projects, promote horticultural and gardening education, the Junior Master Gardner program, horticulture scholarships.
“We invite you to come join us and support our annual fund raiser and gardening education initiatives,” said Marilyn Mayer, Troup County Master Gardeners publicity chair.
