The 30th annual Sweet Land of Liberty Parade, “A Star Spangled Spectacular” is 10 a.m. in downtown LaGrange. The parade will line up beginning at 9 a.m. at the Carmike Cinemas parking lot on Main Street. Participants will march down Main Street, around the square, up Bull Street and back to the movie theater parking lot.


Gates open at Pyne Road Park at 10 a.m. for the 34th annual Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Show. Cost to enter is $10 per vehicle. Children’s area is open 4 to 7 p.m. Music by Rustic Charlie begins at 6 p.m. and fireworks at dark. 706-883-1670
