Local residents graduate from Emory University
ATLANTA — The following received a degree from Emory University in Atlanta at its 169th commencement ceremony.
Sooyeon Jung of LaGrange received an associate of arts from Oxford College of Emory University on May 10.
John Kosky of Senoia received a Juris Master from the School of Law of Emory University on May 12.
Francheska Ray of LaGrange received a bachelor of medical science from the School of Medicine of Emory University on May 12.
Kioceaia Stenson of LaGrange received a Doctor of Law from the School of Law of Emory University on May 12.
Emory encompasses nine academic divisions as well as the Michael C. Carlos Museum, The Carter Center, the Yerkes National Primate Research Center and Emory Healthcare, Georgia’s largest and most comprehensive health care system.
Local student named to Merit List of Oxford College
ATLANTA — Sooyeon Jung of LaGrange was named to the Merit List of Oxford College, the two-year liberal arts division of Emory University located in Oxford for the 2014 spring semester.
Students must earn a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the previous semester to be named to the Merit List.
Area students graduate from Toccoa Falls College
TOCCOA FALLS — The following area students graduated from Toccoa Falls College during the Spring 2014 commencement exercise:
Maurcus Dunson of Franklin with a degree in counseling psychology.
James Martin of West Point, Summa Cum Laude with a degree in cross-cultural adult education.
