A man reportedly awakened today at about 3 a.m. to find two burglars in his home.


According to police report, the victim, who lives in the 800 block of Greenville Street, was sleeping on his couch when he was awakened after hearing a loud noise inside the home.


He then saw two males in his living room who took of running once they observed the victim. The man ran into a room that led to the front door of the home and locked the door behind them. The victim then ran out to the front porch from another room, and saw the males running across Fair Street and get inside a dark sports-style car.


The victim believed the car to belongs to a friend due to the loud exhaust on the car.


The suspects allegedly entered the residence through a side window. A blue Dell Windows 7 laptop valued at $600 was taken by the suspects. A green military-style duffel bag was left behind by the suspects and contained other items the males were attempting to steal from the residence.


No suspect information has been given at this time.
