Two men were arrested Friday for their alleged involvement in the robbery of a county gas station Thursday.
According to Troup County sheriff’s investigators, Keith Adams, 47, and Kermit Curry, 39, both of Pine Mountain, entered the Summit Store located at 4360 Hamilton Road at about 12:30a.m. Thursday and demanded money and items from victims inside the store while brandishing a weapon.
The two fled the scene and investigators tracked the two suspects, with assistance from the Pine Mountain Police Department and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, in Harris County and were able to recover their weapon and some of the stolen property Friday morning.
Both are charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent felony crime and armed robbery. A court appearance is scheduled today for both suspects.
Investigators say that the two had previously been in prison for other crimes, one of the suspects for a previous robbery conviction.
