LaGrange Police responded to a report of criminal trespass in the one hundred block Garfield Street.
According to the report, a woman at a residence said for the second time this week, someone has stolen gas from her car. The victim said she filled her car up with gas on Tuesday evening and when she got in the car on Thursday, it was completely empty. The victim told police she also found the gas cap open. She said the same thing happened to her on Monday and it also happened to her neighbor.
Police are still investigating.
Troup County Sheriffs Deputies responded to a home off Bartley Road in reference to a warrant.
Inside the house they found 28-year-old Trevor William Sturkie along with a Titan .25-caliber pistol with two bullets in the magazine, a set of digital scales, two baggies, and a three inch knife. When Deputies searched Sturkie’s bedroom, they also found a a Troup County Marshal’s badge.
Sturkie was arrested and charged with a parole violation, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of drug-related objects.
