Patrick Crews has been elected to the Board of Directors of Commercial Bank & Trust, according to Frank McRae, president and CEO.
Crews is the executive director of The Suites at Poplar Creek Assisted Living Facility. He and his family have been residents of LaGrange since 1985, when Crews was named branch manager of what was then C&S Bank. He had a 30-year career in banking prior to joining Poplar Creek.
“We are thrilled to have Patrick on our board. His proven leadership and knowledge of banking will only serve to enhance our efforts in the community,” McRae said.
He is very active in the community serving for 25 years with the Special Olympics. He is a past chair of the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce, past president of the West Point Lake Coalition, past president of Twin Cedars Youth Services, member of the local Kiwanis Club where he served as president, and was a founding member of the West Georgia Health Foundation committee. Crews currently serves as chairman of the executive committee for DASH and chairman of Troup Alive and Green.
He received the Jane Fryer Leadership Award and the Troup County Board of Commissioners Civic Leader Award in 2010.
Crews is a deacon of First Baptist Church on the Square where he organized the Free Dental Clinic in 2007.
He is a graduate of the University of Georgia.
Crews and his wife, Pam, have three children and three grandchildren.
