A red older model Ford Ranger, driven by a 54-year-old man, was traveling east on Highway 54 in Hogansville at about 3:50 p.m. Friday when the vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. The deer went partially into the windshield of the vehicle causing non-life threatening head and facial injuries to the male, according Georgia State Patrol Trooper Norman. The man was transported to the West Georgia Medical Center for treatment.
