The Troup Lady Tigers finished the season in style.

Facing the Shaw Lady Raiders Thursday afternoon, Troup scored five runs in the first inning, and five more runs in the sixth inning to capture an 11-2 victory.

The win allowed Troup to finish the season at 13-13.

The game also marked the swan song for three outstanding seniors, Jordan Pike, Kalah Mingo and Alex Duncan.

Fittingly, the game ended on a hit by one of those seniors, with Pike’s RBI single in the sixth inning bringing the run rule into play.

Pike went 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

Duncan and Mingo also had RBIs to finish their high-school careers in style.

All three seniors had exceptional seasons.

Duncan hit close to .600 and had six home runs, and Mingo and Pike each hit better than .400.

In Thursday’s game, Troup had nine hits, with Katelyn Thomas doing a nice job from her leadoff position with two hits and two runs scored.

Pike had RBI hits in the fifth and sixth innings, and Hanna Lane also had two hits, including an RBI triple in the second inning

Madison Cauthen, Ashley Murphy and Kinley Stanford had hits as well.

The game ended with the three seniors at the plate.

With two outs, Duncan walked with the bases loaded to drive in a run, and Mingo reached on an error to knock in another run.

Pike then stepped to the plate and ripped a base hit into the outfield, and that was that.

Emily Green went the distance to get the win for Troup.
