It’ll be a battle of the private schools today, with LaGrange Academy’s basketball teams making the short trip to Lafayette Christian School.

The girls’ game will tip off at 6 p.m., with the boys’ game to follow at 7:30 p.m.

It will be the second meeting of the season between the two schools.

On Nov. 22, LaGrange Academy’s teams swept Lafayette Christian at home.

In the boys’ game, the Warriors earned a 58-45 victory, while the Lady Warriors won 41-28.

The Lady Warriors will be looking to improve on their 3-9 record, and they’re hoping to end a three-game losing streak.

In their most recent game, the Lady Warriors lost to Arlington Christian on Jan. 16.

The Lady Cougars, meanwhile, are 4-5 after falling to Solid Rock Academy 44-36 on Tuesday.

The Warriors will bring a 7-6 record into the boys’ game, and they’ll try to rebound from Tuesday’s 74-56 loss to Furtah Prep.

The Warriors had won back-to-back games before that, including a 49-48 victory over rival Flint River on Jan. 10.

The Cougars (4-7) are looking to build on Tuesday’s 48-46 win over Solid Rock Academy.
